What makes this a great opportunity?

The purpose of this position is to support the locally based Beam Suntory NZ team as well as provide support to CCEP NZ and finance stakeholders across the region. Ensure accurate reporting through to the Business Unit, Regional HQ & Global HQ in line with expected timelines.

Role Responsibilities

Accounting
•    Preparation of monthly statutory reports and accounts to be submitted to global and to be used internally, in accordance with the month end timetable
•    Preparing the company's annual statutory accounts in accordance with current legislation and accounting standards, along with the year-end audit and taxation liaison
•    Management & documentation of internal control process (ensuring compliant and both audit and head office requirements), this includes internal monthly controls and global controls
•    Partner Contract management including profit split calculations, invoicing & stock reconciliations
•    Generation of journal entries for accruals and other journals as need be, on a monthly basis
•    Management of Advertising & Promotional (A&P) monthly reporting. Includes completeness of marketing accruals, accurate report preparation, review & sign off by marketing, recharge of expense as required, accruals distribution of reports to brand owners
•    Cashflow management including approval of payment runs and management of the intercompany loan
•    Management of GBS to minimize impact on the NZ business including finding solutions to processing issues
•    Administration of the office to ensure the day to day operation of the office is smooth & efficient including leases, cleaners, insurances
•    Ownership of the SAP functions ensuring the system is accurately recording sales & costs
•    Additional assignments & projects as directed

Supporting Commercial Finance
•    Assisting with pulling reports and preparing monthly reporting packs
•    Prepare data for reporting to support commercial finance team

Supporting FP&A Team
•    Support during Budget and Strat Plan process
•    Provide data and reports where necessary
•    Support with checks of accuracy 
•    Assist with management of operating expenditure including reporting to budget

Process Improvements
•    Support Finance Team on improving processes and reporting 

Qualifications

  • Business/Commerce Degree
  • Or 3-5 years work experience in CA or a corporate environment
  • CA Qualified good to have/not mandatory 
  • Big 4 experience or similar (PWC, KPMG, EY, Deloitte) preferably in advisory
